Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
